Fire Alarm InspectionNYC.NFPA 72 · Same-Day Report
FDNY-compliant fire alarm inspection and testing for commercial buildings across all five NYC boroughs. Semi-annual and annual inspection per NFPA 72 and NYC Fire Code Chapter 9. Signed compliance reports delivered same day.
We respond within 24 hours. FDNY violations: call directly for same-day service.
What's Included in Every Inspection.
Every inspection covers the full NFPA 72 device checklist — including supervisory circuits like waterflow and tamper switches — not a condensed version. We verify the control panel's zone mapping and firmware, then document the failure points that cause FDNY violations, so you can fix them before enforcement does.
This is what a passing panel looks like. We make sure yours does too.

Fire Alarm Inspection Requirements
Under NYC Law

Fire alarm inspection in New York City is governed by NYC Fire Code Chapter 9 (FC Chapter 9) and the National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code (NFPA 72). Both apply simultaneously — a system that passes NFPA 72 can still fail FDNY inspection if NYC-specific code requirements aren't met.
Acceptance testing is a separate requirement from routine inspection. Any new fire alarm installation, major modification, or system replacement requires FDNY acceptance testing — and FDNY must witness the test. County Fire manages the scheduling, attendance, and documentation for acceptance testing as a standalone service.
Who can perform inspections: NYC Fire Code requires fire alarm inspections to be performed by a holder of a Certificate of Fitness (COF) S-95 or a licensed master electrician with fire alarm endorsement. All County Fire technicians hold current NYC COFs — documentation available on request.
